Knitting and Crochet Kits

If you have not tried knitting or crochet in miniature before we have several knitting and crochet kits for differing abilities. All kits contain pattern, yarn and needles/hook required to work the design.

Rug Kits

These kits are proving very popular, as there is no counting of stitches involved. The rugs are sewn using French knots and all kits come complete with instructions, mothproofed wool, stencilled canvas, needle and backing material. French knots are used to give a tufted look to the rug and to enable semi-circular, circular, oval and shaped rugs to be sewn realistically.

A major benefit with these rugs is that you do not have to be tidy sewing the French knots as 'holes', formed where there is a space between knots gives a worn look to the rug. Also the larger and looser the knots, the more realistic the rug will look when finished.

We have several nursery rug kits and some Art Deco style rug kits in authentic art Deco colours.

 

Accessory kits

We have a range of accessory kits for dollhouses in both 1:12th (one inch) and 1:24th (half inch) scale. These include raffia kits for household items, lavender bottles, a knitted hobby horse, a lingerie pattern laid out on a silk parachute panel, a pearl necklace and paper items such as opened letters, a cheque book and Christmas decorations.
